Website Critique needed

Hey guys, I've got a website in the fitness niche that's almost complete.
My opt-in is currently not present (side bar) nor are any of my information products, but looking for some overall critiquing on its look and feel thus far.

      Thanks for the comment; do you mind elaborating where you notice a lot of the font issues or where needs work?

        Maybe bump the font size to 15px and darken the color a bit.

    It was extremely slow in loading for me on my iPad (no issues with other sites). Could be issue at my end but could also be due to image sizes etc so would advise you look intomit

      No, it's Bluehost being crap again. As usual. I see the slow loading issues as well. I doubt it's the site. EIG is just massive overloaded, and sites are always slow on their overpriced service.

    I was going to say the same thing, why the slideshow? Takes up so much room, valuable page real estate, and the images never loaded for me.

    Some post images not showing, some don't have any. Should be consistent, having a image for each post.

    Think your on a good track, like the look, layout, just needs some tweaks and fixing up things here and there.

    I also would suggest getting rid of slideshow area.

    In the future you can use the slideshow to advertize a coupon or some other type of conversion tool.

    But for now it has style points but not really usefull (not just your site, but most sites dont need it)

      I Agree....Loading is also a small issue...BlueHost! sigh...

        Thanks for all the suggestions, everybody.

        Do you really think it's Bluehost that's slow-loading?
        This site looked completely different before (the one you are seeing is a redesign from the ground up) and used the Optimize Press theme. It was lightning fast with no lagging issues.

        Ever since I had someone rebuild it (Avada theme, not sure if these can even be factors though), and I've noticed it's a tad bit slow.

    Like it so far.

    Some minor points:

    - The slideshow pictures should link to concrete articles.
    - The picture of you in the sidebar is blurry .. get a quality one for that prominent spot
    - That video in the footer is completely pointless .. out it somewhere where it fits
