Affiliate Marketing Success Comes From Not Being Likeable

All of us get stuck on the idea that we have to be likeable. We shoot for the likes on social media and even in our blogs and videos. Affiliate Marketing Success, though, comes from being respected.
The problem with being liked is that we don't get the sale. We get fans. Fans will follow you forever. They will give you all of the kudos that you want and will worship you if that is what you are looking for. Take a look at some of the posts on Facebook and you are going to see these posts and their responses.
The biggest problem with being liked, is that you are risking being broke. Trust me, I've been there.
What I propose is that you focus on being respected. You see, we increase our income by increasing our influence and we increase our influence by being respected.
Again, I want you to do what I did. I looked at the leaders that were making an impact. What I found is that they were respected but not necessarily liked. They determined that this was the sweet spot for them. They could point out things to people that would move them forward in their life and toward their affiliate marketing success that they didn't necessarily want to hear. They utilized tough love to the max.
Once I started to accept that people needed to hear some things that would really get them upset at me, I turned my business around. They may no longer like me but, darn it all, they respect me.
So, how do you move from being likeable to being respected?
Give respect
Treat the people that you are encountering in your life and in your affiliate marketing business with respect. Accept and honor them for who they are and where they are at in their journey. Give them love, appreciation and gratitude but do tell them what they need to hear and not what they want to hear.
Remember, your job is not to be liked it is to help them achieve their affiliate marketing success.
Respect yourself
When you respect yourself, you carry yourself differently. You show that you can accept all of the good choices and all of the bad decisions that have occurred in your life.
Once you have this down you approach asking people for their business with a whole new energy. They are going to want to hear what you have to say.
Be resolute in your vision and in your mission
People respect people who are on a mission and are committed to seeing it through to its conclusion.
You want to be so clear about your vision and your purpose that people just can't take their eyes off of you. The more clarity you have the more respect you are going to garner.
Have zero fear in asking for the sale
To be able to ask for the sales that are going to cinch your affiliate marketing success you have to be comfortable with your worth and with the worth of your products and your opportunity. You want to be able to say confidently, "I have an amazing opportunity for you and I am the one that can help you reach your goals." Then, give them the link.
Asking for and getting the sales is paramount in attaining success in affiliate marketing.
