I have tested Facebook advertising CPC under 2 days and left the bid on auto mode and guess what! FB Charged me $1.80 per click. I have created a landing page check here but it did not converted any leads. I know it was short time testing FB CPC method, but come on $1.80 per click that's insane.

I now try to redirect my landing page to the offer please check it and tell me what do you think and if FB accept redirect links.

It's even more insane considering the offer you're running, I'm assuming you're getting around $2 for the offer after looking at the LP so you would literally need to convert at 100% for this offer to make sense with that CPC...

    What demographics were you targeting?

Yea you will NOT be profitable with that campaign. I would first get your CPC down by driving up your CTR and then focus on some good "dating offers"

    Goodluck,

Getting approved by FB is a trick... dating offers can't get porn pictures etc... but if you're submitting dating ads be sure to submit like 15 of them, some will get through

Yes, I agree with you silverace, but the coast of the clicks are too high on FB advertising. 55 clicks for $100 It should generate 100% leads to get profit.

Your CPC is too high . It would be so hard to make profitable campaign with this CPC . Please reduce your CPC .

It is also important that you improve the CTR of your ads .

Yes, it is insane. That's why you can NEVER bid what Facebook suggests. Start out with bidding 1/3rd of their suggestion. You will be surprised that they will give you impressions, even if you don't give in to their suggested bid. If you aren't getting the impressions, try more ads or different countries.

If it's not profitable, cut it short. You are in this to make money, not give all your money to Facebook.

Agreed, when the result turned out it's not profitable, change a promote way or cut it short ASAP, actually in this field you shouldn't really "stick to" something.

There are so many factors as to why Facebook is charging you $1.80. The fact that you're surprised that you're being charged $1.80 per click means that you're not testing.

First of all, what was the suggest min/max bid? Depending on your CTR Facebook will charge you accordingly. If you get a low CTR, Facebook will charge you more. If you get a high CTR Facebook will charge you less.

If you're paying too much, it means you're doing something wrong, so change it. You need to test, test, test before you make money on Facebook. Make 5, 10,or even 100 different ads testing different demographics or interests.

Why? Facebook is a business. They're trying to make money, they're not trying to rip you off. If Facebook is giving you impressions, but no one is clicking on it, then why should they give you a low CPC? If you're getting lots of clicks, Facebook will lower your CPC because you'll be making them more money. If Facebook ripped everyone off, then they wouldn't be in business for long, right? If everyone makes money, everyone is happy.

I always bid at the MAX suggest bid price, and I always get great CPCs (after testing). For example, if Facebook suggests a bid between $0.65-$1.35, I'll always bid at $1.35 and I'll usually get a $0.10-0.30 CPC (after initial testing). You need to test different ads, find the winners and delete the losers.

Thank you Warriors for the tips I have now better understanding for FB bids, but the important thing now is to get my ads approved and get profit from them. Any suggestions about effective landing pages and if there is any good CPC networks. I know about google, yahoo, bing and I use adhitz and localpages. Do you recommend some other networks to do testing on them.

Try out 7Search. Some people hate this network, other's love them. I personally use them pretty often. I usually use them to test keywords, but I've also made a good amount of profit off of them. Once you find some winning keywords, go ahead and take that over to adwords!

Here is a great case study from not too long ago using 7search.

I am almost giving up on Facebook and Google advertising. The best way with this companies is to give them your money and tell them to place the advert the way they like to.
A simple dating ad got disapproved about 10 times by FB. I got 2 answers at same time for an alcohol advert on FB 1 approve and 1 disapprove LOL.
Now testing POF 1 advert accepted and the other gets Needs creatives !!
Any Idea about who is creative?

Never let them control your bid!!

Start bidding 50% of they suggest, increase your bid gradually (if necessary) until you start getting some impressions and then find ads with a high CTR (usually 0.1%+). Once you find the ads they will start delivering a lot more impressions to you and you will be able to reduce the CPC even more.
