Email Confirm Shaving -- Anyone Else Seen this?

So I have a few offers that some days convert really well for me (close to 200-300% ROI).

The weird thing, though, is that some days the exact same targeted traffic won't convert at all....I mean the EPC is close to a 1/4 of what it was the day before.

So here's what I did....

I had one of my friends fill out an offer with the intent of not confirming it to see if there was anything really weird.

And the crazy thing is HE NEVER GOT THE CONFIRM EMAIL

Could this be a weird type of email confirm shaving method that advertisers do?

In this case they say "If you don't receive your confirmation email contact us at this email address."

Could they be doing this to just pick up leads without having to pay publishers?

I'm definitely switching offers, but I was wondering if any of you have see this before...

If you haven't, Beware o_O

It happens with email submits, it is common sadly, all you can do is not spend too much time getting frustrated and move onto the next offers to test.

Yeah I've heard that it happens with email submits pretty frequently, but see this is for an email confirmation offer!

I don't know, seems crazy to me...

Guess you're right, time to move on to different offers

      Thanks Greedy

It could also be that the person's email service is blocking that confirmation email because they think it's spam, or the server sending out those emails has been flagged as a spam sender and the email service provider won't let any go through. Along those same lines, email service providers may allow a certain amount to go through but when they feel there have been too many they shut them off. The time frame they use to determine that quantity might be a day or a few days or a week. Then there's also the fact that stuff happens and things can go wrong with the script that's supposed to send the confirmation emails. This doesn't just happen with email submit offers. It actually happens with affiliates who sign up for our network - they don't get their confirmation emails and have to have them resent. Obviously, that's not shaving. So just because something isn't going exactly the way somebody thinks it should doesn't mean that shaving is going on.

This 100%. This is most likely the cause.
