Hi Everyone!

I am a total newbie, so I apologize if this has been asked thousands of times before.

I have read through countless posts on this and other forums.

I have gotten so confused with how to start or what to target that I simply can't understand where to start.

I mean there are so many marketing ways, Organic vs Inorganic

paid ads vs organic traffic

SEO, CPA,CPM, CPL, etc. - so many abbreviations and options

I have researched niche's, how to blog, how to start with ads.

But the bottom line is there is so much out there I don't know where to start.

My question here is - if I have a small amount to invest, let's say to the tune of $200 a month, what can that get me, what are my options, what are some ways that if I stick to it i might end up making money in a few months time constantly.

Again, I apologize if that is a noob question, but I just can't decide where or how to start with stuff and any guidance on that part would be much appreciated. I think I know how it works all the moving parts(like creating a website, blog, different ads etc), the basics of it, but I just can't seem to put things together.

Don't buy anything (nothing!) until you have decided what part of IM you want to work in.

A few threads here that might get you thinking:

    https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...m-nothing.html

    https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html

    https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...marketing.html

With a very modest monthly budget you can register a domain - get a hosting acct and start a blog with a Wordpress template...buy some low cost ads....but until you know whether you want to sell someone else's products, create your own products to sell, provide a service such as writing for others, etc etc etc....don't jump in and don't start buying 'do this and make bucks' products.

Write down what interests you - what your hobbies are - what topics you know something about (or have an interest in learning about)....and then think up products or services that address problems in those niches.

I know it seems like a mess at the moment - but try to think critically, plan rationally, identify your own strengths and weaknesses and target a date to have a plan in place.

Thank you for the reply, that is indeed insightful, a thing I might add, ebay is a no go, I was working on dropshipping on ebay until 2016 that is the time, ebay shut shop in India.

I am in India, - on second thought i might have added that in the original post.

My interests and hobbies or stuff that i really care about are Finance(anything, insurance, stocks, pretty much the whole financial domain) and astrology, and Gaming. Those are the topics that i am fairly knowledgeable about.

but i figure pretty much all of those stuff are so over saturated that if I now start something along the lines of a blog or website in 2022, what hope does it have to get ranked organically, considering the competition out there.

I was thinking more along the lines of, maybe running some CB, CJ products directly in PPC? I have no idea for the ROI on that so was hesitant about it. Do you have some insight that you can share on that front.

Since you're a complete noob, i would recommend starting off on Ebay. Why? Well simply because it's a site that people are going to buy something. And they make shipping a breeze whenever you get alot of orders.

I think a platform like ebay that already has the buyer traffic gives you an advantage - as opposed to starting a brand new website yourself. You're a newbie so you dont have any real practical application and knowledge of how to drive traffic to a website.

There are a few reasons why NOT going the ebay route can be a good idea. One big one being competition. You will see alot of sellers selling items for under $3.

This seems bizarre as the cheapest to ship a first class item is around $3.48 in your time zone (i live on the east coast). Media mail is currently $3.19. Plus add on the ebay fee and you're over $4 just in cost to do business. Not to mention product acquisition costs.

I dont mention this to be a downer, i mention it for perspective for whenever you see an item that has been sold over 5,000 times - but the price is only $3. These sellers have their reasons and methodology, but i dont think you should follow this model.

For you it's not advisable to price your items like that since you're a beginner, but i want you to know that you can earn $5 - $10 profits without having to compete with low ball sellers.

One great niche you can get started in is the cell phone case niche. iPhone and Samsung cases sell well and for good profit there. So if you want to try ebay, you can try this niche. Good luck to you!

Thank you for the response and insight.

I did not think of adding this earlier but, now adding, I am in India. I was dropshipping on ebay until 2016 as that is the time when ebay shut down shop in India.

Unfortunately there are no ebay alternatives that are viable in India at the moment. And i really dont want to get into overseas shipping.

    (merged with previous thread)

I came to the conclusion that since i am good with the stock market, the Indian stock market in Particular. I will perhaps have people join my stock advisory group. And basically getting people to join for a membership.

There is this app called telegram, which can be used to broadcast messages, so I can start with that and setup a stock advisory.

The plan is to setup a group on telegram and ask people to pay for the stock market information that would be broadcasted on it.

The question - How do i start with getting it done. How do take it off the ground. How to do I market this idea, and get people to sign up for the service.

Do i start a website and then market it, can i speed up the process of getting people to my website or landing page, if so how? What would be a good strategy, or if anyone has done anything like it, any insight would be appreciated.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

I don't right now...atleast not related to the stuff that I am talking about.

I am to assume that since you started off with Facebook, that is what i should be doing first?

OK, but along with that what else should i be focusing on?

I do have some time to invest here, so only doing a facebook page seems a bit less, waht else can I do along with it?

The truth is that you have a bunch of different options ahead of you, and which one you'll choose exactly highly depends on your requirements and how fast do you want to achieve your goals. But, before you start investing money into anything, I would strongly recommend you making some kind of a plan where you would first determine with which aspect you will deal with. As I said, it could be affiliate marketing, dropshipping, CPA marketing, blog copywriting, video making, you name it, all of these aspects can be monetized nowadays, you just need to see what fits your skills the best in this moment.

When you get the plan, you can dig deeper and find the best ways for promotion for some exact niche or aspect and decide precisely how you will distribute your budget and what are your expected ROIs. Without strategy it will be hard for you to achieve great results and your money could go in vain, so make sure you don't miss this step.

So, what are your credentials for the Indian stock market? Why would someone listen to you?

If you have the credentials, start a facebook page, a feacebook group (and give freely good info), then find all the sites people looking for advice on the Indian stock market ask for such advice, any forum, reddit, facebook group... By the way, have you joined anybody's Indian stock market facebook group?

You need a place to show that you are credible and collect money (facebook page or website) and to be where people looking for what you sell are (forums, facebook groups, etc.).

Then, you need to impress them with your knowledge.

It's that simple. It is, of course, not easy. But it's simple:
    1. place you show off
    2. put said place in front of likely buyers
    3. collect dough.

Of course, the landing page has to convert, you have to participate (answer questions, post useful info).

If you are planning a "hard" product shoot for $200 or more for a price point.
It's just as much marketing and research for a $200+ product as a $2 product. You still need pictures, content, and expertise if you want to convince buyers.

First of all you need to decide the niche on which you want to work and then check out some responcess of other niche's that are related to yours. If it looks better then start work on it and get some advices from experts which helps you to aware from circumstances. You con also start its SEO and then rank your web or blog.
And last, work hard until you get what you want.
