Is (insert method) Still Effective?

Was browsing around the forum when I came across a question posed as "Article Marketing? STOP Blasting... It's Not Effective..." or something close to that effect.

There are lots of threads that say article marketing is not effective (otherwise known as article directory marketing) and some other traffic strategy is good or whatever.

I think it's really important to know that while it's not effective... does it still work?

The questions we got to ask...

1. Does this still bring in traffic?
2. Is it worth my time/money investing in this form of traffic?
3. How many traffic streams have I got going?

The internet is named "internet" and "web" precisely because there are constant little threads of traffic and links which point to various sources.

While "blasting" article directories may not be as effective due to the Panda/Farmer updates, the truth is you still need to get the word out to as many people as you possibly can.

If you don't have any JV partners to spread the word about your site, then syndication is a really cheap way to get more eyeballs and links to your content.

So, when a product and sales message proclaims that a certain strategy is ineffective, those 3 simple questions will help determine whether to pursue that traffic source or drop it altogether.
