The Avoidance Success Strategy

We all have to admit that we are the power and the presence in our world and if we use it we have created a success strategy that will allow us to skyrocket our success.
There are so many demands on our time these days especially if you are in online marketing. People expect you to be on social media and responding to them within minutes. There are thousands of emails coming through that appear to demand our attention.
All of these things take our power away from us. They demand that we place others' agendas ahead of our own.
The other thing is that we eliminate our power. We get caught up in the idea that we may miss out on something if we aren't monitoring our email and our Facebook pages constantly. The reality is that missing one or many, for that matter, probably will not affect your business at all.
What will adversely affect your business is a lack of productivity on your part.
So, what exactly does this "tyranny of urgency", as JT DeBolt calls it, cost us?
Avoidance, is a success strategy that will allow you to retain your power and create the life and the business that you truly want.
Avoid Email
Most of the people that I work with check their email almost as soon as they get out of bed.
Rather than checking this first thing in the morning, spend the first 30 minutes doing something that benefits you. Your success strategy has to place you, the CEO of your business, first.
Have assigned times to check your email and set a timer for 15-20 minutes and deal with those that are a priority and will have a positive impact on your business.
Avoid Facebook and Twitter
You have the ability to link your fan page and your twitter account so that when you post to one it shows up in the other. Also, use the scheduler within Facebook and spend 20 minutes or so scheduling all of the posts that you want to send out for the day. That way you are not constantly going back to the site where it is easy to get distracted.
Go back in your time frame and engage with those who are posting comments.
If you lose a sale because you didn't respond within minutes to someone, that is probably not someone that you want to work with anyway.
Put your passions first
Build your business around your lifestyle. Give the things that you are passionate about 1st place in your schedule. This way you set the day up to be special. Kind of brings us back to that success strategy that says you have to take care of you first.
Sweat the details
Almost everyone in the personal development field will tell you that exercising first thing in the morning is one of the best things that you can do for yourself and for your success.
When you take care of your health, you will actually do better financially.
Drink lots of water during the day and make sure that you eat healthy food, especially first thing in the morning. This combined with the exercise will help keep you energized throughout the day. Coffee is not a success strategy. I am looking into whether or not caramel macchiatos do qualify. I'll keep you informed.
Gratitude - the top ranked success strategy
As you go through all of the things that you need to do in order to be profitable in your business, be thankful for the fact that you have been given this opportunity and that you have the chance to do what you want to do with your life.
Your success strategy, for life and business, should be to reclaim your power and to avoid all of those things that will drain you and keep you from taking the actions that will build your success.

- Loss of productivity. When we are concentrating on what others want rather than on what we need to do to drive our success, we are not utilizing our power and we are not being responsible business owners.
- Pulls you from your passion. Unless, of course, your passion is to be a doormat, constantly doing other peoples' stuff before your own.
- Blocks your gifts and talents. It keeps you from your power and that means that you cannot be your best self.
