Hi Everyone,
I have been reading the many posts in here lately and try to keep informed on what happening around the internet, without getting sucked into the hype.
I think you'll agree there are a huge range of experience and knowledge on here, from the very new to seasoned marketers and business owners which is great.
No one can deny lately the internet has been almost overflowing with new launches to new opportunities some great such as Eban Accelerate program to others just a remake of the same old snake oil rebottled and designed to strip you of your hard earned cash.
the point I want to try to get across is theres a great difference between awareness of it and getting pulled into it yet another shiny button syndrome which some will be more than familiar with, here is something which can help with this in my humble experience
I have used this method with many of my teams to help them identify how many inputs they have coming into their life and think it may be of use to some of you if you choose to use it -
firstly get a pen and paper and sit down turn everything off... mobile , fb, pc, etc and just write your name in the middle of the page next circle it - now relax and sit quitely focusing on whats coming into your life draw an arrow towards your circle and write what it is maybe a business, project or group
then keep adding each single lines in until you have identified all primary inputs these can include o/s problems / tasks such as get car repaired or things that take up significant periods of your time
Most are shocked when they visually see how many inputs are coming in from all areas I then tell them to identify the ones or limit the inputs that are non essential to their primary aim
it usually minimises them by 5-10 dependant on circumstances this then helps to focus on production based activity helping them progress.
you need to specialise in order to get results in an area. Far too many people are doing lots of minor things which do not bring about results especially if not directed at your main goal ,
It's sort of cheating yourself as we all try to justify it as important try it out and hope it helps be ruthless and cut out the trivia it will usually pay off more than you know
kind regards Si
