I have a wide range of tips to share with fellow Warriors - from teaching you how to write better (or smarter) to helping you learn how to wield the power of free traffic tactics. I'm big on ethics and I'm not shy about pointing out scumbags on my own blog (since it's against the TOS here).
I have made tens of thousands of dollars on the Warrior Forum alone and I'm always willing to help others learn the ropes if they just ask. I wanted to create my Warrior Forum blog to build an in-house area for questions and answers among marketers, so sound off in my comments area and I'll help you as best as I can and if I can't, I'll find someone who will.

What Is PLR?
Posted 29th September 2008 at 10:56 AM by TiffanyLambert
I get asked this question a lot - or I see it on the forums, so I thought I'd answer it right here!
PLR stands for Private Label Rights.
Private Label Rights are the rights you buy to things like written content, video, or audio productions where you're allowed to alter the item and stake claim to it as your own.
For example, if you buy a PLR pack of articles from me about Internet Marketing, Herbs, or Dating, you can change those articles any way you wish, include your links in them, and post them with your name as the author!
PLR packages are great for marketers who don't have time (or talent) to sit down and bang out content like a pro does. Did you know I can write approximately 40 pages a day in content? Of course that took years of training and it's my passion, but not many people can do the same thing.
So you can have someone like me develop PLR for you and others to use, where you know the research has already been done and the content will flow nicely for you.
[b]Do you HAVE to edit your PLR?[/]
It's not required by me, but I have seen some sites that require a 30% alteration in the content. There's a great debate about whether Google penalizes for duplicate content. Some say no, some say yes, so it's up to you to use your own discretion when choosing whether or not to edit your PLR.
How can you use your PLR?
PLR is great for many things. Here's a short list of how it can be used. In fact, you can take one PLR article and spin it off into each of these areas if you really want to get the most out of it:
Web content
Have a new domain that you want to get established? Use the PLR to create pages on your domain, but add them gradually - not all at once.
[b]Blog posts[/]b
PLR is GREAT for blogs! Search engines like frequent fodder for their spiders, and you can take a single one-page PLR article and break it up into two blog posts. This helps you save money. So a 5 for $5 niche PLR pack from my PLR Mini Mart would equal 10 blog posts for you if you wanted - a mere $0.50 per post!
Article directories
Some article directories are stricter than others. EZA doesn't want to even sniff that your submission was PLR, so it takes 100% alteration. On the other hand, GoArticles.com is fine with it.
Email marketing
Whether it's for a weekly or monthly ezine or your auto-drip autoresponder emails, you can use PLR content to provide frequent valuable insight to your customers. I sell 52-week packs, for example, where you're given a 5-page opt in report that you use to build a list, and then you have one article per week to send out to your list subscribers.
I have a few niches (because I take custom requests) that are already built into these yearly email marketing packs, but you can always piece together a year pack from various PLR that you buy.
Right now, my year packs include these niches: diet, stress, alternative health, Internet marketing, gardening, dating for nice guys, heart health, and saving money - and you can find them here: PLR Articles: By Tiffany Dow
Forum marketing
Did you know that you can even use PLR to help you with your forum marketing efforts? Let's say you're targeting the diet niche. You invest in a 5 for $5 or even a 52-week pack and then join a diet forum to participate.
In your signature file, you can give away the free report to help you build a list. But use the weekly posts to just post a helpful thread in the forum! You might post it as, "I found this great tip I wanted to share," if you're using it as is - in case someone sees it elsewhere on the 'net, or alter it into your own words and post it as your own expert advice!
Web 2.0 sites
Social networking sites like Squidoo, Hub Pages, Knols, and Weeblys are other great places to use PLR. But if I were you, I'd alter them or smash them up together to make them unique.
There are many ways to use Private Label Rights - and it helps if you really work to make the most out of them before you move on and plug up your hard drive with more before you've put the original ones to use.
Stop by the PLR Mini Mart at PLR Articles: By Tiffany Dow and see if I have your niche. If not, submit a request and I'll put it in my queue!
