I am really excited about today’s topic, creating and selling products online. There are steps you need have in place to sell simple information products and over the course of this week were going to go through them some of them but today you are going to focus on the first step of the product creation process.

Selling your own products is one of the more lucrative ways to make money online. With a bit of research and a little creation time you can be well on your way to having a product to sell. But before you can sell your product and start making money, there are 7 Things You Must Have before Selling Info-products Online and be effective.

The first step of being an info-seller is to create quality products that are Needed by your Audience

Obviously, if you don't have a great product to begin with, no one is going to want to buy it. If your prospect decides to buy it because you produce an excellent sales letter but a mediocre product, you can expect a large number of refund requests.

Take the time to research what your target market wants to know more about. Too often, beginning product creators just dive in and create what they think will be helpful, but end up missing the mark with No Sales or high refund requests.

Avoid all of this by visiting Web 2.0 sites such as forums, social media sites, places where your target audience hangs out. Take notes on the questions they have and make it your mission to provide the solution to those issues in your product.

The step you need to remember here is target your audience in your chosen niche.

Now you’re first step is to develop an outline from the ideas you have, and then work each idea as a chapter or section, one page at a time. Make it your mission to write at least a chapter per day, or section per day, and you'll have it completed much faster than if you start the creation process and then shelf it for a couple of days or week.

Another option would be to record a simple audio or video. Many writers including myself find this method of creating products as a more effective way to get your product started faster. Once completed you could easily outsource transcription to a freelancer.

Here another idea that popped into my mind, create different elements of text, video, and audio for a package that your customers are sure to love.

I know that you are not going to be able to read this short post and begin to create a ten dollar or even 37 dollar product from the information you just read. But it is a start and a good one.
