Squeeze Page & Wordpress Black Belt Warriors

Fellow Warriors:

I am looking for the "Black Belt Warriors" here

What would you suggest to a newbie that wants to setup a Squeeze page? There are so many options

a) Wordpress build from scratch
b) Hire a Warrior or oDesk or Fiverr
c) Wordpress Templates
d) Instant Squeeze Page Generator Point and click wizard - some kind of generic HTML
e) more more and more

This is a bit confusing, there are so many options.

Do you have a proven blueprint to set this thing up? Requirements would be:

- No need of Video
- Just Bullet points
- good Header
- my own custom header image is done - i need to insert it without much work
- i need to use getresponse (they have a ton more templates.. :-(

What would YOU do? Experts?

    If you're a newbie then use a WordPress theme like
    OptimizePress:

    Optimize Press | Pro Internet Marketing Tools (no affil.)

    That way, you'll be able to get your squeeze page
    set-up very quickly so that you can then concentrate
    on the next step in your list building process.

    With many of the other options out there, you'll have
    a longer learning curve in setting-up your squeeze
    page or be dependent on another outsourcer.

    I second Optimize press. Spend the $97 and never have to worry about all of this technical stuff again when it comes to squeeze pages. Its worth way more then the price.

    I "third" Optimize Press but also have a look at Profits Theme as an alternative. If undecided - just go for OP - we all use it and it just works.

    Without trying to talk him out of it, I'd start by checking that he's aware that a squeeze page isn't the only way, and is often not the best way, of building a list. And that the biggest list very often won't correlate with the biggest income, and that there are reasons for all of that.

    And then maybe I'd explain to him some of the split-testing I've done, and why I no longer use squeeze pages at all in my business.

    Not really me, for sure - I don't use Wordpress or squeeze pages, though I do wear a lot of black, as it happens ...
