Are articles/blog posts absolutely necessary for promotion?

Hi, guys

I have a database-driven site, which is complete at it's first phase. It is a web aggregate of telecommuting jobs, sort of like flexjobs.com but free. I feel silly writing articles...

Site looks nice and attractive.
I would increase the font size in article snips on the front page, very hard to read.
Also, infolinks links are too light. Other than that - great job.
