Focus On Content Or On Backlink?

My website ranking is also gd but i don't use backlinks i only focus on making a good content and using a targetting keywords, i posted a question few days ago if using backlinks can affect my website ranking on google but i got no answer that s why i kept my work as it is, but what i am sure of now is that stop posting on my website can drop its rank.

You just think it in a way that what is the the purpose of the google search engine? To find the best webpage for the query that was searched. Is this possible that lots of good and original contents is enough to get site on top of google?

At one time my site (Entertainment Site with focus on Indian Readers) was getting 50000 Pageviews every day (Most of the page views came form 8-10 articles), even though I never spent a penny on building Backlinks. In last few months I did not gave enough time to site and now pageviews has been dropped to 25-30k per day.

I am back again hiring some content writer to focus more on Content and Articles. Should I also build a link building strategy, Hire an expert who could get me backlinks (White Hat method)? Is it possible to go on top of Google, Make My Site a huge one by focusing on Original and good Articles only and depend on Organic Backlinks?

Or is this only possible in theory and at the end of the day I have to get backlinks from authority sites, of course I have to pay for it.

Focus on Both. Content is the king for each and every blogs. So you need to focus the regular update with the quality contents of your site as well as the backlink building also important to get the top position on search engine results. So you can do the both will be the good choice of getting a top position of your website.

Content and backlinks are equally important. Relevant backlinks help you to rank high on search engine which eventually brings in some organic traffic to your site. On the other hand, content helps to keep user-engagement on the site after a visitor lands on your website via google search.

I think both the content and backlinks are important factor in ranking a site on google. You have to frequently update your website/blog with fresh and relevant content to ensure that users will get quality information on regular basis. If you are focused only on one thing that is better for you. Don't mix backlinks and contents together. Backlinks performed different and content performed a different task. If your article is original, fresh and new with quality content than there is no need to focus on backlinks.

I don't recommend you buy backlinks or even hire SEO experts though in some case it works well. But if you focus on White Hat SEO, why don't you think and create quality content for sharers instead for traffic? Put yourself to others to know who want to shares your content. Finding out them and show your content to them. That the best way to get quality backlinks and higher ranking.

google´s algorithm is changing almost "every day" and if you will keep only on backlinks so you will not succeed.

SEO is filled with competitors. It's not only depends upon the quality content and the number of followers you have. That is not going to give you long lasting result. Up's and down's are always in rankings. Need to building good links in order to achieve the desired result.

Lots of good and unique content are not the basis for getting high rankings because there are lots of them are not engaging with the users so what's the use of your content? Don't expect for just creating content will get your site on top of results.

Both are important. If you have awesome content and you are not promoting it properly then what's the use of content? And if you don't have quality content then how are you supposed to earn backlinks? So I think both things have equal importance. But of course if you are well known in your industry and you have decent followers then you don't have to worry more about backlinks. Just focus on content.

We should be focus on the both of the elements. But I personally believes that if you had write a great piece of the content and you don't have the visibility for that content than it is waste of the time. So I would like to recommend you to focus on both the elements content and back links.

Focus on both. Your site needs internal backlinks too. I do 3 to 4 posts on my affiliate sites with internal backlinks to my money posts per week. I then promote my content on web 2.0 sites for external backlinks. Scrape for high page authority expired Tumblr blogs, works a treat for me. Make sure you mix up your anchor text and you are good to rank :-)
