Tracking ppc sales. An expert to help please?
- SEO |
I have a clickbank affiliate link (hoplink) placed on my blog for a product I´m promoting.
And I´m driving traffic to my site using PPC (adwords), and at the same time trying to get some free traffic from other sources, also organic traffic.
But the question is:
Being my aff. link always the same button in my site, how will I know which sales are comming from free traffic and which come from ppc?
Obviously, I can´t add extra tracking codes (tids)to the link, because all visitors, regardless from where they are comming, will click on the same exact link button, so adding tracking code to the hoplink is useless in this case, as it won´t tell me where the visitor came from.
I was thinking that it should be usefull to add a tracking code not to the link but to the destination URL on my adwords ad, to track all what happens beyond clicking the ad. But I never heard this is possible.
Any ideas from the experts? Many thanks in advance!!
