Article Spinning Confusion!

I would do both it can only help your serps.

In my vast internet experience, spinning seems to be a waste of time. I have tested article marketing with and without spinning and have seen little or no difference....

Ahh split 50/50 that's what seems to be what I have been reading. I am just unsure how the article directory's like it. Will they accepted my unique written article if it's already on my site? Thanks for all of your help so far!

A lot of directories require original content only.

Spinning can be ineffective if the spin is not that detailed and they are blasted all at once (the search engines aren't that stupid).

But I have found that if you spin an article very deeply and schedule a long term submission task across all directories using AMR or similar it can produce better results.

Just link the resource box to the original article on your blog.

If you are linking the same content to eachother Google may discount the quality of the link though.

In the past, I've done this with EZA. I used to be able to submit my previously posted blog posts. However, after Panda I've had to rewrite and resubmit unique and quality blog posts.
Spinning or re-writing is probably the least frustrating.

The best way to "spin" articles is to sit down and manually re-write them.

Yeah even after spinning I had to make many changes to make the spelling/grammar correct that took me time thats equal to writing an article.So spinning is not a good option specially after Panda it has lost its importance.

It's what almost all the successful professional article marketers here (who use directories at all) do.

Article directories don't require previously unpublished content.

Don't link back to another copy of the same article - that would be a way to lose most of your traffic!

There's no point in using article directories for their own traffic or their own backlinks. That's not their purpose, and it's an unproductive attempted use of them. As explained in this post.

Instead of spinning articles for the directories, why don't you write new and unique articles for them? You can link back to your original articles in the resource box in these newly written articles. People usually spin articles and post them on freebie sites for backlinks.

I do spin articles, but not just for article directories. In fact I pretty much now only use EZA, Buzzle and GO Articles as these give me the best chance of syndication and do send some traffic my way.

I use the spun content to post to Web 2.0 sites that carry more weight in their links (tho not as much as they used to) and as content for posting comments to relevant on topic blogs - again for the back links.

This is how I understand it, but at the end of the day no one truly knows how Big G works. If you have a post on your main site that is already indexed, write a unique article about that post or subject. Link back to the original post. I don't spin anymore personally, but again some will say to do it some will not.

Now the big fear is duplicate content is the whole "Panda thing". The way I understand it, is that if Google determines that there is duplicate content they won't show the duplicate content in the SERPS. But, that doesn't mean you aren't getting the backlink from the duplicate content. It's just not showing, which pending on your situation doesn't matter because you want your main post to show up anyways, the article in the directory is there just for the backlink. So it is important not to backlink to a post until the main post is indexed, so the article doesn't show up as the "main post".

Is this true? Again, who really knows for sure, unless you are an engineer for Google, but that is just what I have read and understand it.

Can spinning help? I don't know about help in the sense that you have a better chance of ranking over someone that isn't spinning, but I would guess it can't hurt. I personally haven't noticed a difference now that I don't spin anymore, but I just don't have the time or patience to spin good readable articles to be honest.

Again, just my opinion, I could be totally wrong, but like I said, at the end of the day, no one TRULY knows how Google works, we can only do our best to try to figure it out and work from there.

I don't spin my articles but I use Ezinearticle website to write good articles and if I want readers to visit my blog or squeeze page, I add it on the resource box.

yes you can...they do not require you to rewrite it. But it all has to be posted under the same name, so when they check it, you need to make sure you submit all those articles under the same name.

Google hates spinning and so do the users. It's not a good long-term solution. Unique content that is written so well nobody can easily spin it is best.

If article is indexed on your site first then you can submit to other article directories afterwords.... but in case of eZineArticles you need to submit to them first or they will not approve your article...
