Help Needed - Canonical URL structure and Duplicate content in Wordpress

Hey Warriors,
I am using Wordpress theme (CTR) for all my websites.
When I search my website in Google as follows:
site:www.mywebsite.com
I comes up with all the pages indexed BUT also show the following URLs in search results:
www.mywebsite.com/page/2
www.mywebsite.com/page/3
...
How can I remove above "redundant" URLs from Google index and make my site structure "proper" in my Wordpress CTR Theme, so that I don't happen in the future.
FYI, I used "All-in-One SEO plugin" on all of my websites, when created them initially and Selected the option "Canonical URLs". Should it be selected or unselected to remove redundant URLs.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
