hi everyone, i'm new here.. is it ok to add links on this forum? i saw in other threads that some members are adding back links on their post, like link back to their blogs.. wouldn't i get banned if i do that?

You can have some non thread-related links in your sig. Links to your own blog posts have been often taken down in the past, but I'm not sure if that's still the case with the new owners.

If you're asking about the SEO on your own site it helps a lot to give your domain. But then you could obscure it a little, and not use real link to it.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

No it's not okay to post links over the comment box, but what you can do is try putting your signature over the Signature panel under your profile. That should give you a back link as well as you will not get yourself stuck over the banning thing.

You can put links to your own sites in your signature. You cannot post links to your sites or affiliate links in the discussion areas. You cannot self promote in the discussion areas, which means you can't mention your products or sites or say see my sig, etc.
