Unnatural links manual action disappeared overnight from WMT

I noticed recently that manual action of one of my site that got an unnatural links
message on 18 May 2012, disappeared from WMT. I had several attempts in
reconsideration request in past and did all what I could to revoke the penalty but
without success. Now the action is disappeared completely from webmaster tools.
This was so strange that I couldn't believe my eyes when I logged in to my account
and saw no sign of manual action in there after two years that the site got suffered
from the manual penalty. I got used to the message in my WMT during these two years.
This means that there's two possibilities.
1) I'm no longer able to file a reconsideration request in future and the penalty lasts forever.
2) The penalty has been revoked.
Time will tell which one is the case.
