If it is a local business you should work on getting the maps listing and on adwords.

Don't forget to use some long tail keywords in your adwords campaign. Track what keywords bring traffic and...

Depending on the keyword, yes it could very well be worth working on the keyword.

With good keywords people go down farther than the top site. A lot of times you will get traffic with page 2...
