Amonst the congrats (which are well deserved!) it's great to see the reasonable input from people and their perspectives since that's what makes a functional community. It's members are a significant reason for its existence and its success.

Hopefully the same people can step up and shed some opinions in the feedback forum too which could potentially lead to an even better community than we have already if new management ducks in and cherry picks any gems they find productive.

We are excited and looking forward to working with you to better support the community.

Allen Says founded Warrior Forum in 1997 and I’ve personally watched the community grow to over 730,000 members, becoming the world’s largest Internet marketing forum.

We will be allocating substantial resources to further grow Warrior Forum! We will be dedicating engineers to build features and customer experience specialists to interact with the community in order to understand intimately what you like. They’ll be working closely with the moderators moving forward.

The most important thing, however, is that we listen to you- the community. We’ll be going through the suggestions section and would love to hear more about your ideas and feedback. I am really keen to hear from you!

Also please feel free to email me at matt@freelancer.com with any suggestions, ideas, and thoughts or just to touch base and introduce yourself.

Effective immediately we are making a few permanent improvements to pricing:
* All WSO listings will now be reduced from $40 to $20
* All current War Room members will have their 20 year membership extended to lifetime, immediately. Moving forward new memberships will be $20 per year.

Thank you for your support of Warrior Forum in the past and I look forward to working with you to take Warrior Forum to the next phase!

Regards,
Matt Barrie
Hi Matt,
Will bumps stay at $40, or will they also be reduced to $20?

Congrats Allen on the sale. There's many of us that have profited immensely from what you've built.

With change comes new opportunity.
Some things will NEVER change!

Thanks Allen for giving me a place to get started and hopefully to still keep using in the future!!

My life has totally changed all because of one WSO which became WSOTD which led to more WSO's that became JVZoo POTD and so on and so forth!

As much of pain that launching can be on here sometimes it will always hold a place in my heart and mind and like I said hopefully things will be getting even better in the future!

Congrats! BC

I think we should be on the lookout for an IPO from FreeLancer.com.

They also bought ScriptLance.com a couple years ago. I was forced to move to FreeLancer and the service has been great.

Hard for any father to give his baby away, but at 17 years old, you reach a point where it is best for someone else to take on the responsibility.

This is great for you and your family and the others who supported you when things may have looked like they were a mistake or would not be successful. Congrats

As a War Room member I am glad to hear of the increase to lifetime membership - thank you.

As a buyer of WSO's who has been getting more and more ripped off each year as the quality is getting worst and worst, I don't like the look of what may happen by reducing the WSO listing by half. There's too many fly-by-night shysters dropping any old crap in there in the hope of making some fast cash and gaining a list to market to. Not ideal. Would prefer a strict set of compliance rules before being allowed to release anything - not just a budget to pay a good designer to create a hot-selling sizzle of a WSO page (ad).

Just sayin' ...

All the best

Congratulation Matt for the acquisition.

Warriors,
You will find Freelancer.com's team exceptionally user friendly.
I've been with them for 3 years. I started my career with Scriptlance which got merged with Freelancer 1.5 years ago.

I was scared when that happened but Freelancer.com team proved me wrong.
They helped me in whenever I needed them. They are unbeatable in the support. In short, don't worry and be happy for this merger.
Please share your feedback as mentioned by Matt, if any.
I wish all of you all the very best and welcome all of you to the Freelancer.com community.

As one of your original WF folks, and a long time 'HostForProfit' customer (seriously, how many people here even recognize that name?), I am so happy for you! You've been a great inspiration to all of us, and have been directly responsible for the launch of some of the biggest names online today.

I hope you stay involved with the WF - but whatever you do, enjoy it!

freelancercom

Looking at your posts - I doubt you represent the new owner. Guess the first issue is knowing who is appointed to issue corrections and snark - and who isn't.

The drivel factor is up quite a bit today...hopefully it will quickly be sorted out.:p

I totally missed it but freelancercom sent me an infraction and I didn't notice. From what I gather official representatives will have Administrator under their forum ID.

I am also concerned with this and I can assure you that all well established sellers like us in the Warrior For Hire section is concerned about this as well. We strongly urge the new admin to preserve the Warrior For Hire section as it is, as it's perfect and no change is needed at all in my opinion.

Hi Matt,

Congratulations to both Freelancer.com and Allan Says.

Sounds good and I hope you and the company you represents keep your word on that as I don't have any good experience with takeovers, especially not when the target isn't that significant for the acquirer in terms of revenue and profit as it would be for the founder who has put a lot of time, money and effort into it.

So I really hope WarriorForum will stay as it is or become even better and I really looking forward to working with you.

Best regards,

Jimmy

Congratulations, Allen!

Thank you for having and bringing to fruition your vision. Directly and indirectly WF has enabled me to make money I otherwise, very likely, would not have made.

And, while that's a good thing, because of WF I've met, online and in real life, a number of people I'm proud to call friends. People whom I care about and who have demonstrated, more than once, that they care about me.

Through the years I've laughed, out loud, at more than one post and mourned when a respected member left us for good.

I've had serious and not-so-serious questions answered. I've answered my share of the latter and, hopefully, helped a bit on the former.

Based on the stated intentions of Freelancer management I'm looking forward to more of the same.

Best of luck to you, Allen, and again, thank you,

With warm regards,

Elmer

congrats on the successful sale, Allen.

It would behoove us to copy Allen's example: build a huge resource (authority website) make it successful - a real good money earner - then sell it years later for 6-7 figures -

sounds like a plan to me excited to see the changes -
onwards and upwards, Warriors!

So Freelancer.com bought Warriorforum?

Why?

Freelancer.com = Jobs
Warriorforum = Business ideas, SEO, reports, ...

I dont see any advantage!?

Change is inevitable - this maybe was too.

I joined freelancer a couple of months ago, I maybe had a feeling...
