I want to use photo captions to add proper attribution to my photos.

I'm having two problems. When I add text to the caption field, it doesn't show up when I look at the page.

For attribution, I need to add links. I'm not sure how to create links in the caption field.

Thanks in advance for the help.

In Wordpress following steps will be helpful to you.

-Insert an image to any page or post using the Image Block.
-Click on the image once and a toolbar will appear directly above it.
    -Select the link icon.
-A box will pop up where you can paste your link directly.

If you upload image individually, then you can add a caption after uploading every single one. When an image is uploaded, simply click on the image and the 'Write caption. and for edit you can click on the text and make your changes. Edit an existing caption in the WordPress block editor.

  • It sounds like you are experiencing some technical difficulties with adding text to the caption field and creating links within it.

Regarding the first issue, it's possible that the theme or plugin you are using for your website may not be configured to display captions in the way you expect. I recommend checking the settings or consulting the documentation for your theme or plugin to see if there is a way to change how captions are displayed.

As for the second issue, you can create links within your captions by using the HTML code for links, which is <a href="URL">Link Text</a>. So for example, if you wanted to create a link to the photographer's website in your caption, you would add <a href="https://www.photographerwebsite.com">Photographer Name</a> to the caption field.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any further questions or issues.

Enter the URL of the photographer or artist's website in the "Link URL" field.

Adding links to photo attributions in WordPress with Divi is quite simple. First, you will need to upload the image to your WordPress media library. Once the image is uploaded, you can click on the image to open the media library. On the right side of the media library, you will see a field for "Attribution URL". Enter the URL of the source of the image in this field. Once you have entered the URL, click the "Update" button to save the changes.

Now, when you insert the image into a post or page, the attribution link will be automatically included. You can also add the attribution link manually by clicking on the image and then clicking the "Link" button in the toolbar. Enter the URL of the source of the image in the "Link URL" field and click the "Apply" button.

That's all there is to it! You can now add links to photo attributions in WordPress with Divi.
