Thank you, I always found that being polite gets me farther than being otherwise I checked all of the comments and they seen helpful. I know it's Sunday night, but my inner impatience is coming out.

Am I being super impatient that no one has responded yet? I am just so eager. At least I have been writing drafts, but I really want to put up the pics ans such. I thought that support would respond by now.

I know no one can answer this, I just wonder if it is reasonable to have to wait a while for a response.

I understand how you must be feeling, but just know that it will get resolved. They would really ruin their reputation if they wouldn't help you in this case. I, for one, know that I would never purchase from them if they didn't help you correct a simple mistake.

On the other hand, I'm sure they are not a huge company that offers 24/7 customer support. They will get back to you soon, I'm sure. Just wait.

Yes. I know that people get backlogged over the weekend and it can take all of Monday and Tuesday to get caught up. If you do not hear back by afternoon Tuesday, contact them again....and again, do it very nicely.

I just had the wrong link bookmarked, simple and stupid mistake. I still haven't heard from them. I am on the East Coast. I will wait until around until around 9pm my time (I think they are west coast)If I don't hear from them I will just go to elegant themes, though none are quite as perfect as the Theme forest one.

Update, I looked closer and it does look like I purchased the WP versionhttp://themeforest.net/item/brick-mortar-a-personal-business-theme/1939048 They cannot resolve it and are suggesting that I repurchase. I am a bit nervous to do so because the same thing might happen.

Is there anything that I can do to fix the style.css code myself as this is the issue. I am not experienced (obviously.)

I am on a very tight budget and really don't want to waste any more of my funds.

So I repurchased, and the exact same thing happened, I got the same error message. Now I can't even go to Elegant Themes because I spent the last of my funds until later this week. This is the message I got

"Unpacking the package...

Installing the theme...

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed."

Is there anything I can do? (to install the theme)

You need to unzip the file ON YOUR COMPUTER with winzip or similar, then just upload the theme folder.
The reason its broken is because the downloaded zip file probably has tutorials, psd files etc included, which you DONT upload to wordpress.

This also means, your 1st download was fine as well.

This is both correct and incorrect. you need a .zip file in order to upload, unless you are going through the FTP.

It is also correct in the fact that it probably does contain a bunch of extra files like readme.txt. she may have to unzip, then REZIP UP THE THEME FOLDER.

The file containing style.css should be in the root folder of the zip archive. Find where it is, unpack that folder and any subdirectories and then zip up a new archive with that folder in the root.

Hm I was in the same situation as well, except I had bought 2 themes. They were flash, and I realized that I wasted $50 for two worthless themes in my opinion. But of course, now that I got my site up and running, with out flash, all in html/css formatted for SEO friendly.

Thank you guys I am still waiting, I got caught up at work and thought for sure that they would have gotten back to me by now. They might be on the West Coast USA, and I am East Coast USA so I'll give it a bit more time. I plan to work hardcore on the site this weekend so it is just important to get it sorted by then.

I could figure out what to do with the zip files, but it would take some figuring out. I might take you up on help, thank you for the kind offers
