Making a Strong Guarantee Customers Will Be Reluctant to Use
Def learnt something from reading
Loved the many lightbulb moments I found in your blog entry
Amazing how a play on words can make a difference to an outcome.
Wasnt going to read at first as your title was a bit confusing but the opening sentence did its job.
I must have a go at having 'positive' and 'negative' guarantees on my sales page. Wont be split testing though however thanks for the intro to the difference in guarantee wording!Posted 9th November 2017 at 11:48 AM by Zoe_21

Avoiding the Mistake of Assuming Your Readers Know What You Know
I run into this all the time when talking to people about autoresponders who do not know what they are. For some reason it is a hard concept for people to get. I even wrote an entire blog post "What is an autoresponder" just to address this. I think there are people who "get" autoresponders and those who may never.Posted 29th November 2015 at 08:12 PM by quickregister

Links and Traffic from Amazon
I read my Kindle books both on my Windows Phone when I'm on the go, and on my computer.
I've read free e-books, but like you said, they are way too generic. Something needs to be done about this
Being mostly in the tech niche, I'm all about specifications, so I think I'll do better when it comes down to providing specific information which actually adds value to the reader.
Sometime in the near future, I'll get down to actually starting my own minibook, or, even better, a collection of minibooks and sell them at .99 cents each.Posted 11th May 2013 at 01:27 PM by BucsaEmanuel

Links and Traffic from Amazon
There are 8400 words in the report I referred to. It could be considered a mini-book, but as an in-depth legal report about a subject, the number of questions people commonly have, and providing answers to those questions, dictated the length.
You may want to download several free marketing reports, or reports in your niche, to compare their content and word counts.
"Kindle" does not mean you need buy a Kindle to read them. There is a free Kindle reader to download to a computer, which is what I use.
I have read several Kindle downloads available from Amazon that were less than 10 pages. Even though they were free, I was left a little disappointed because they were short and generic. I think you can really stand out and get traffic by not doing what everyone else does, but by making sure your content is better and more specific.Posted 11th May 2013 at 01:11 PM by kindsvater

Links and Traffic from Amazon
I never thought about Amazon as a source of traffic, but I have been thinking about writing articles or so called reports for a while now.
Just a quick question: what's the average word count for one of these reports?Posted 9th May 2013 at 06:21 AM by BucsaEmanuel

How to Bypass AdBlock Plus
There is nothing wrong with reviews, but why limit your income and type of website?
There are a couple problems with just relying on reviews.
First, that limits your income to product reviews and product review sites, and products with affiliate programs. That will not work for most sites.
For example, I have web pages targeting non-product searches, use AdSense to monetize the pages, and rely on Google finding something relevant, usually a service with no affiliate program to advertise on my site.
Second, your affiliate link may be blocked so in effect your product review is blocked from making you money. This is more likely to happen when using an affiliate or CPA network where links are routed through the network's url. Since only affiliate links go through the url it is easy for an ad blocker to know it is an affiliate link and to block the url.
Commission Junction links are commonly blocked for this reason.Posted 9th April 2013 at 08:52 AM by kindsvater

How to Bypass AdBlock Plus
Just want to let you know that you have always really good and helpful blog entries (I don't even remember when and why I get those to my email), but some of them are really outstanding.
As for adblocker, if someone is concerned about losing sales due to users who use adblock (I am one of them)..why not have a site with legit reviews where a product is endorsed genuinely, rather than relying to ads for income. Just my $0.02. If I write a write a review about a product where I get commission I don't need to worry about blocked ads.Posted 7th April 2013 at 07:01 PM by GeorgR.

The Best Tool for Keyword Research
Thanks for the prompt reply, Brian. 456 vs 31 is an impressive difference! Makes the KSP's current 97 price tag a no brainer!Posted 11th February 2013 at 04:07 PM by cash365

The Best Tool for Keyword Research
I have not used Keyword Elite so I do not know how it compares to other products.
In a recent niche where I know from experience a ton of keywords are searched on, KSP returned 456 results. The Google keyword tool returned 31.
If you were creating a site with a page devoted to each phrase, most marketers would have a 31 page site. I would have a 456 page site.
Perhaps even more important is that Google does not disclose many long tail keywords. Although individually their traffic counts may be low, in the aggregate the volume is significant and these are commonly the buying keywords.
This is where the money is made and why only relying on Google is dangerous.Posted 11th February 2013 at 11:00 AM by kindsvater
