Law of Click-traction

Posted 31st August 2012 at 08:48 AM by CPAPJason (A blog by Jason)

Out of boredom I once created a little campaign for a product and started sending social traffic to it. I used tweets and updates like 'this video is stupid' and 'Don't watch this dumb video' and 'This vid was so stupid I want my time minutes back.'

I made sales on the single lesson that people can be driven to any site like that. It was complete with a stupid video, so there was no false or misleading statements made. A 10 second video stating the the video was stupid. With a single...

As a businesses owner

Posted 30th August 2012 at 07:32 AM by CPAPJason (A blog by Jason)

I had a brick and mortar businesses, a small thrift store, and I will tell you that I hated cold callers. I messed up their scripts something awful. Having had the business I talked to a lot of other brick and mortar business owners that did the same thing, cold callers = annoying {expletive}was the equation. The best ones were the cold callers for web design, and I'd start asking server specific questions and drive them nuts.

It does work, to some degree, but what we preferred...

Offline promotions

Between business cards, flyers, posters, signs (lawn, car, and others), newspapers, people in costume dancing around, and other methods how does one decide what is right for them?

I've tried a lot of them, with business cards and flyers topping the list. Signs I have not had much luck with, giving minimal ROI. I'd like to find the person in the area that is posting signs, see what their ROI is like. Simple ones, 'cheap health insurance' with an 800 number.

Offlining It

Posted 26th August 2012 at 05:37 PM by CPAPJason (A blog by Jason)

Everything offline has a value, which is usually far more easily gauged than a digital product. The fun begins when the two collide and you have an offline offering for an online product, be it a site, a vid, rep work, FB or Titter account work, or any of a long list of things.

Having your information together when going to get a client is a great idea.
One method I use is to have a list of sites and information on comparable sites. If I am going to hit auto dealerships I get...

A new idea

Posted 25th August 2012 at 07:53 PM by CPAPJason (A blog by Jason)

A slow weekend here, just relaxing.

I came up with an idea involving mouse pads, of all things, and I made a few calls to get some things lined up. Having had a local brick and mortar business I have a few connections, which makes starting a new project fun and easy.

Tip of the day, if you plan on going in to offline marketing start cultivating connections now, do not wait till you are starting.

The people that you make contact with today will be tomorrows...
