Like in a movie, actors need prompting by the director to do what they need to do or say what they need to say in order to make the scene and movie a success.

Well unfortunately in life we do not tend to have a director on tap and getting things done can seem like the most simple thing to do yet the simplest things can take forever to put into action.

I will be honest and say on a personal level I can be pretty hopeless on this front. I have a sore knee that for months now I've been "going to make an appointment at the docs for" , lightbulbs needing replaced in my spare room, furniture needing moved out to the garage to clear a space in the hall...etc etc.

It is truly ridiculous and everytime I feel the pain in my knee, or nearly trip over the furniture as I pass in a rush, I remind myself of how I am not taking action to get the simple tasks completed. Why is this the case?

I am the type of personality who works really well under pressure, I don't like having too long to complete a task. When it comes to my customers I'm action focussed and completion driven. When it comes to making a success of my career I'm blinded by my focus and the drive within me to succeed is limitless!

So how can this be? Why don't I just pick up the furniture - well first its way too heavy and I need help to do it. Why not just make an appointment at the Doctor? Well I know the appointment waiting times are forever and the time they give me will clash with another work or family engagement maybe? (pitiful excuses, are they not??)

All lame excuses but as my inaction has no direct impact on anyone else or the bottom line (yet!!!) I don't give myself too hard a time about it. I will however phone the doctor today though, as if I don't, I may be setting myself up for long term issues and I know I'm way too young to be plagued with aching limbs.

Seriously though, what happens when we have this attitude towards our internet marketing endeavours? Loss of income, lack of productivity, loss of potential customers, truly pathetic network, lack of focus...Resulting in a diminshed drive to be truly successful at what is meant to be your "bread and butter".

There is NO EXCUSE.

The issues I am not dealing with are down to me being plain STUPID and LAZY. I need to rectify them and I will - TODAY!

Writing down the issues on this blog has shown me there are NO excuses for my inaction.

Same applies to your internet marketing business. NO excuse for inaction. Whatever reason you are kidding yourself about is a load of baloney and YOU KNOW IT!!!!!

Don't waste any more time. What you promised yourself to do today - ACTUALLY DO IT!!

Continued feelings of "I never get things done" simply ain't gonna get you what you want.

Write down a short memo addressed to yourself, listing top three items for today and don't stop until they are done. You will go to sleep tonight feeling way more satisfied and content. While you may not conquer the world in one day, small steps over a clearly set, planned timeline are all it takes to achieve success.

Ask any entrepreneur how they achieved their dreams and "inaction" will not show up anywhere - I GUARANTEE IT.

By the way "what is it you are clearly defining as success?" Food for thought but I'll save that for another day.:p

Thanks for reading. Now off you go and get those tasks completed!
