While performing Wordpress SEO research recently, we ran across a keyword called Google SEO. To grasp SEO, more commonly known as search engine optimization, one has to understand its principles are largely universal.Due to the nature of this particular keyword search, assumed queries were interested in gaining a better grasp of search indexing processes.

Since we specialize in Wordpress SEO, not to insinuate our principles aren’t universal to all content management systems, it is necessary to spell out a few things. The first is - to understand any optimization, regardless of content management system you'll have to first grasp exactly why you want to learn. It never ceases to amaze us how little is not only understood but also lack of understanding of keyword markets in general.

First, what is your core product? Next, how do eager buyers find it? No two questions are more important to successful Internet marketing. Not to toot our own horn however, we recently launched a website called howtopowerPoint.org. To successfully launch and obtain high search rankings, we understood first what our core product was (Powerpoint) and next, how those interested in our offerings would search for our products. For those who don't know, PowerPoint and related products and services are among the top 50 most competitive keywords in all of search. When it comes to understanding your core product, most make competitors their first consideration.

What should precede all other concerns, even competition, is how do you achieve a SEO level which allows your business to become known among search? Finding your level is something most have never been challenged with but will ultimately affect the success of your online venture. It should come as no surprise that the dominant player is the creator of PowerPoint, Microsoft Corporation. They aren't some long time salesperson whose web presence has thoroughly infiltrated relative markets. They are the product originators!
They've had a website marketing this product for as long as the Internet as existed for general use. A website's age plays heavily, along with other SEO factors, into its page rank.

Nevertheless, even the age of a website isn't necessarily the determining factor in market dominance. That leads us back to the howtopowerpoint.org comment. That day was February 15, 2012 and we launched the site December 17, 2011. On two of the three major search engines, we've already achieved both Page #1 ranking and a PR 4 status.Typically, a website's popularity isn't ranking high search results alone. First, its authority as measured by backlinks and traffic and these two (among others) are taken into consideration by the algorithm and thus, determines the strength of a site.

For us to have quickly achieved such a high search position in an ultra-competitive market with well over 44 MILLION searches monthly, underscores the point of SEO itself. Understanding your core product and how buyers are going to find it! Most new websites fail because they've been bamboozled by deceitful dreams of achieving wealth online quickly.
