We stated our peace however, having tested too many plugins to count, the truth is these tools simply do not and have not, produced high PR ranked website. If they have and can do so consistently as with manual SEO, send us the evidence and we’ll ‘eat crow’ and apologize.
These tools seem an affordable option, nevertheless, we are duty bound to put forth that 'affordable' and 'effective' search optimization are most often as far from one another as East is from West. Nevertheless, for start-up entrepreneurs with little capital to invest most firms seem much too expensive.
Is that a hard fast truth? NO! Start-ups, consider this - the money many of you spend on paid search platforms such as Google Adwords, is more than sufficient to hire a cost effective SEO firm and thus quadruple earnings! Using ourselves as an example - an Adwords campaign we launched several years ago sought to test effectiveness of paid search versus organic SEO. The geo-targeted market was a book we published called Earn Money at Home NOW. This particular book was targeted at those who were looking for jobs from home and/or ‘telecommuting’ employment.
During a four week period we spent approximately $100 per week with Google ads. This was the time it took for the product’s homepage to penetrate Page #1 of all three major search engines. We need not tell you that site visits on the organically placed site FAR exceeded those of paid search ads regardless of keyword market by a ratio of 8-1. What we discovered through follow-up data analysis was the $400 spent on paid search ads (given paid search ROI) would have been better spent on SEO. When measuring whether your Wordpress SEO expense is worth it, compare it to what you have been or will pay to serve paid ads.
