As a top tier seller on Fiver which and of course, a Fiver describes micro jobs or gigs offered for sale on Fiverr.com, I just couldn’t not pass along the extreme amounts of success I’ve enjoyed. It wasn’t because I am someone with an IQ of 200 or more but rather, understood what a great opportunity it was. Over the years and I am sure many readers, especially here in the Warrior’s forum can attest to; I’d been sold dreams which rarely, if ever, made money.
However, within literally, a few days of setting up and then accepting ‘micro jobs’, more commonly known as ‘gigs’, I received more buyer orders than I believed possible to complete! Where is this leading? Fiverr is exactly what it presents itself to be; a legitimate, online, home based business opportunity. I marvel at the volume of searches for so-called ‘Fiverr alternatives’, Fiverr clones, Fiverr like sites and many other keyword queries.
Many are current Fiverr sellers hoping to replicate success and have discovered a hard truth – results on Fiverr rarely equal success on other platforms. There are many reasons for this but chief among them, at this point, is none are as well funded and the micro job market is well beyond over-saturated. For those considering launching a home based business on Fiverr, I strongly suggest concentrating on maximizing opportunities on this platform and foregoing the others. Nevertheless, immediate profits on Fiverr require one thing above any other – replicating successful gigs and marketing practices already refined by other sellers.
To do so is easy because truthfully, no financial commitment is required for launch and by doing so, immediate market penetration, in whatever gig category you choose to sell in, is achieved. As a matter of fact, this method is so effective, I used it for my company’s Fiverr video tutorial series. What was very exciting for us and students is LIVE, during tutorial production, profits started rolling in! We, literally, began receiving sales as the tutorials progressed. What Gigs are easiest to replicate during business launch? Well, that depends on your current skill set or ability to quickly learn new areas of expertise. I want to caution those considering launching a business on Fiverr in this; there are TONS of ‘how to’ guides available but the most effective training is ‘live’, online and video tutorial based.
I say this for a few reasons and refusing to sacrifice my integrity, offer in its’ defense this; I wrote how to guides until several years ago when the power and superior effectiveness of live, hands on training tools became apparent.
Around 2007, Google began banning Adwords advertisers for reasons which, even to this day, mostly remain hidden. The fact is and based on personal inspection of client sites, most deserved it. At that time, no guide existed on how a banned advertiser could get a ‘fresh start’ with Adwords. I took several months to figure out the process to get an account back, wrote a short 23 page eBook and marketed it.
I say with much humility that this book, first titled Unbanned by Google and later, Adwords Back Now went on to become a HUGE success. Any Adwords guide, regardless of title, is a copy of this pioneering eBook. What was funny is the very students who, at first, doubted the process’ authenticity went on to become my fiercest competitors!
Let me be clear; I have nothing against eBooks and once blindly believed in, wrote, marketed and sold them. However, several years ago online training began a serious transition to MOOC (massive online Open Courses) and this training platform is successful and most of all, effective. I digress. When considering launch of a Fiverr Home Based Business, here are quick tips to help you along the way;
- Spend time researching Fiverr and make a list of gigs you can perform
- Notice Level 2 and Top Rated Sellers, inspect their gigs and see if market opportunity exists to launch something similar
- DO NOT launch some CRAZY, personal skill gig that has proven successful. Just because you like to perform the task doesn’t mean it will sell. First copy success, make money and then attempt to market unique skills
In the final analysis, what is most important is beginning. After all, has anything ever been accomplished without a first step being taken?
