We all deal with the idea of failure at some point in our lives. I really shouldn’t say “some” point but “many” points in our lives. It doesn’t matter if you are a baby just learning to walk or middle age working on a new project or charting uncharted territory in your life; failure is inevitable.

Why failing is an option...

I see and come in contact with people everyday that fail in their business or in the job in their business. There are certain words that I always here in connection with failure:

"It was going to happen anyway"

or

"It was just a matter of time"

or even

"That was the wrong business for me anyway"

Have you ever heard that? Or even worse, have you ever said that?

The two evils: Success and Failure

I was recently at a university working on my Doctorate's and my instructor mentioned "The two evils: Success and Failure." When I first heard this I wondered the thought behind it. After a small amount of discussion it makes a lot of sense.

Success

You may ask, "How is success" and evil? You may say, "Success is a wonderful thing" and may be a strong desire that pushes you to do better in life and your business or career path but if not...

I come in contact with people on almost a daily basis that have failed in their business or their job. I always hear things such as:

"It was going to happen sooner or later anyway"

"That was not the right business for me anyway"

"I tried as hard as I possible could and it was not good enough"
