What Matt Cutts says about Wordpress?

Posted 9th March 2013 at 10:54 AM by wpseoguy

The Question is: Is WordPress or Blogger better for SEO?

No doubt Blogger is a good option. I had one of my sites on Blogger, and I had to use blogspot sub-domain.

Only problem is with control and dependence on Google.

With WordPress self-hosted site, you have full control. You can move it anywhere and your URLs will never change.

With Blogger, it hard to shift to another server in case you need that.

I'm sure your likely familiar with "Active" plugins, and "Inactive" plugins if you've ever used a plugin in your WordPress website, but did you know there are 2 more types?

So, let's just briefly explain each plugin type.

Active - The active plugins are Dah!, the plugins that you have active on your website.
This one is a no-brainer!

Inactive - Again, like the "Active" plugin type, this is the opposite of course.

As we wind this series down on Wordpress classes online and what to look for from top instructors, let’s assume you have mastered how to strategically use both posts and pages. It now becomes necessary to understand although your personality may be wonderful; people aren't searching for an unknown (as of yet anyway) content.

There are essentially five ways your content will be distributed:
  • organic search indexing
  • paid advertisement
  • social media platforms
  • email
