On My Way to $1 Million

Recently, I have begun a little experiment in the Law of Attraction. In case you have been living under a rock for the past few years, the Law of Attraction is the proposition that you can get what you want by attracting it in to your life. Well how about $1 million? Yes - well ... that's the experiment!
Let me explain a bit ...
During last year, I decided to start a new blog. I genuinely don't know how many sites I have at the moment, but it is probably about a dozen or so. Having said that, only three of them get my regular attention - that's including this new blog. The original idea for the new blog was to show people how to take a brand new site on a brand new domain all the way from $0 to 'Significant Profit' - that was how I originally stated my goal. The blog was started in September and, after just two months, I was into profit (See Here).
Things were beginning to go well, but then I started to think about how big a goal I might be prepared to set for myself. The thing is, I genuinely don't believe you can seriously set a $1 million goal until you are mentally in the right place. Yes, you can write down that you intend to do it and even delude yourself too. But, to genuinely set a goal like that, I believe you need to be in the right place. Well, the thing is, I believed I was in the right place.
When I started out online, it was back in 2003 when I started my main site, I made the total of $29 in the first year. Not a lot to write home about, but still more than some people managed back then. It was before Adsense and before some of the great opportunities there are today. But the thing is, that $29 convinced me that it would be possible for me to build an online income. I remember talking it over with my wife. I told her I thought it would take me about 2 years worth of dedicated effort. It actually took me 7 years!
But about 18 months ago, I achieved my goal, chucked in the day job and now I make a full time income online. So you see, the thing is, I know how hard it is to get things going. But I also know how to create passive income, so my income growth may have been slow, but it's also been steady and reliable too. It was in that context that I felt I was ready to set my $1 million financial goal for 2013.
So I changed the goal for my new blog. It is now, 'to make $1 million profit in 2013'.
What I have found is that, having been bold enough to set that goal, my thinking is definitely changing. I can almost feel my brain being rewired (I wrote about that here) as the new goal has also become the focus of an experiment into The Law of Attraction.
Previously, I had thought I would have to get there all by my own effort - don't get me wrong, I still think that significant effort is required - but now, I am beginning to think that I may not need to plan it all out because, I am beginning to think the Universe (yes really) may be beginning to help me along the way.
I fully understand that this kind of stuff (Law of Attraction) tends to polarise people - and indeed, I would not have previously ever written about this stuff quite in this way - but something is happening right now; something that involves me but does not revolve around me.
We are two months along the road to my goal. So far, I have made $2164.66 this year (see here) and I know that things will have to ramp up tremendously for me to achieve my goal, but I am on the way to that $1 million - it is exciting and a bit scary at the same time.
