Do you ever get those songs that just won't go away going around in an endless loop inside your head? Well, this one has been going round inside mine. But anyway - yes - it has been a while since I posted here and I wanted to put that right.
Now, with that off my chest, I can give you a quick update on how my Make Money challenge is going. We are half way through the year, so it is a good time to take a hard look at the facts and the truth of the matter is that this year, I am making around $2K per month.
It's uncanny - doesn't seem to matter what I do; month after month, that's about what I am making. If I was not serious about my financial goal, I would be very inclined to just take a month off and see what happens. I feel pretty certain I'd turn in about the same.
Yesterday and today, I went down to the beach and just enjoyed the sun and sand for a few hours - we have a heat wave here and I wanted to make sure I got myself away from the keyboard and soak up the sun for a bit. But, of course, I will not be taking a month off. In fact, it's time to turn the metaphorical heat up and see if I can improve things.
In a way, with the Panda and Penguin stuff out of the way, it's quite good to be able to report that my income was not affected, though my traffic was - at least to my main site. Perhaps that does represent some kind of progress.
I have a JV planned for later this month and that about constitutes my current plan to ramp things up. I'll let you know how it all goes. Meanwhile, you can read my current progress report here.
