What is a easy way to upload a large 700 page website in PHP format? I have tried Frontpage and NVU and it just wont load the way a regular HTML website loads off the index page.

    Hello synthman,
Can you give more details? If you want to upload 700 .php pages you can use a script to FTP them to the web server, that way you don't have to sit around watching each file. Another idea is to compress all of the 700 pages into a single .zip file, then upload that to your server, and uncompress the .zip file to your destination subdirectory (command line in SSH, or with cpanel from your web host).

Not sure what you are describing with Frontpage and NVU. What it sounds like is that you are trying to edit and view the .php files on your local machine and see the finished product. That might not work. Here's why. PHP needs an interpreter to follow the commands found inside the .php files. It's not the same as straight ahead HTML. The HTML markup is easily viewed with a web browser. But for PHP to work, you need PHP software installed locally. It usually is already installed on your web server, that's why the .php files you upload and view with your browser seem to look properly formatted.

Curious to know more info, just in case I'm not giving you the explanation you're looking for. Thanks.

Thank You for the Info, I bought a PHP website from Adsense Packages and tried to upload it the same way I have done in the past and found myself having to do it one file at a time with File Manager in Cpanel and thought I might need Dreamweaver or the likes to automate it.
