Webinars useful information or the new sales funnel?

There is no doubt that selling in a more personal way is effective, in fact it is probably one of the most effective methods of selling services and products however there is a rather nasty side of this sales model it creates the possibility that those sellers that are not honest or even ethical could take advantage of the average client.
I have seen this with three products, (I use that word with some trepidation)

These were incomplete at best and at worst one was not even a product at all in fact in the PDF they abandoned all pretense at it being a product and just outright upsold for the rest of the content.

This is not only evil but stupid.

For one thing they may get you with a clever sales page and the promise of something nice but once you realize that you were screwed then you will not be coming back to buy again.

Its really amazing to see how ignorant this sales process is.
The good news is that you do not have to become a victim.

Vendors need to understand that in this marketplace we are not going to put up with people who intend to take advantage of those people that are only searching for a way to make a living online.
If you see something say something, if you get ripped off report it, (abide by the rules of this forum) but that still does not mean that you have to loose money or feel funny about admitting that someone promised something that they could not produce.
