Conversion tracking for FB ads is only through JS not URL so for FB your would need the Iframe option.

I want to manually place an Adsense banner over an autoplay video.

The banner will display for 5 secs before hiding itself using JS code that I wrote.

This is a good idea. Of course you wont get a backlink but you will get lots of direct hits and Google loves that. Shows your site has value without them.
