The truth is... MANY people go online because they're looking for information that will help them solve a problem.

so here's an email template I've developed and used very successfully over the last 3 years or so... after about 6 years of testing, tracking, and tweaking.

It will work with your customer list, a freebie opt in list, and no matter how long they've been on your list.

And the longer they stay on, and the longer you use this template, the more you'll start to stand out, head and shoulders above other hypey, salesy marketers that just send out promo after promo... offering no real value.

There have been times when I'd create an email, click send, and earn $5,000 to $10,000 as an affiliate. I won many affiliate contests with this template.

there's a reason for that... and here it is.

First, in the email subject line: mention their BIGGEST problem

People notice their problems... they just do.

More people will stop and stare at a car accident than someone helping a little old lady cross the street.

Problems get our attention, so I try to address the prospects' BIGGEST problem in the subject line.

Again, they go online looking for solutions... so seeing the problem written down will catch their attention.

For example....

Are you making these mistakes when raising your children?

If you eat this one food, it's making you fat.

Is this chemical making your kids sick?

Are you sick and tired of being alone without a partner?

Are you tired of being broke and swamped by bills?


No matter what you offer, try to think of the biggest problem and address it so you get the readers' attention.

The secret sauce for your email is to give them a step by step solution they can use right away to solve one of the problems that are related to their BIG problem.

Don't give them a solution to their BIGGEST problem, mind you, but a big one nonetheless. The big problem that you can solve for them will be done by your product... which will be mentioned at the end of your email... but subtly.

But almost all markets have people who are looking to solve one big problem and then a whole host of other problems.

No matter what it is... dating, sex, weight loss, make money... there are usually a whole bunch of smaller problems that attribute to that one big problem.

So the key to your emails is to focus on helping your target market solve some of these smaller problems… and then give them the actual steps they can take to do it.

That’s right… literally give them a solution they can use right away, to solve a problem.

When you do this and they get their desired results… they WANT to come sign up and buy everything you've got.

Selling is nothing more than giving people what they're already motivated to do.

So, if you sell a weight loss product, give away info in the email, that shows them how to lose 5 pounds in a week, or how to get rid of nightly junk food cravings or binge eating, etc...

Bottom line… give them ONE specific solution they can use to solve one smaller problem.

Give away the actual advice steps, or system they can use. Give away a valuable technique right away that they can use to get results.

Think of the start of your email as the key that unlocks the purchase of the full priced product.

In other words... give out an amazingly useful tip, something that they literally could use immediately to see a desired result.

Then, at the very end of the email... after you've delivered the specific technique they can use... mention how you have a product/service that enhances what you just gave out... and gets them seeing results even faster.

The last thing you'll have in your email, before your name, is the link you want to send them to.

So, after you give them the solution to one of their problems, mention you have something that will tackle their biggest problem... and give the link for them to go check it out.

Then comes your name, and here's how you use the P.S.

You restate their main problem, show them you have the solution, and give the link to your sales page again... but only after you've presented the problem again... and tell them the solution is at that link.

Anyways, this has been the secret to my success over the last 13 years and why I've managed to make a lot with emails.

It's from nothing more than sending out specific solutions to problems that my lists have... and then mentioning I have even more stuff at my paid programs.

Here's an example of how to put it all together....

Email Subject: Are you gaining fat by eating this way?

Hi,

Are you looking to lose a few pounds of unwanted fat?

Are you a little "less than happy" when you look
in the mirror?

Are you a bit self conscious or insecure when you're
at the beach or pool in your bathing suit?

Believe me, I know how you feel. When I
was 40 pounds overweight, I used to wear
baggy clothes to the beach, just so others
wouldn't look at my body.

Thankfully, I've learned a few important
techniques you can use to lose fat a lot
easier.

Although the best approach to losing fat
is a long term one, there are some things
you can do to lose fat quickly.

You can do it by increasing the intensity
of your cardio while slowly decreasing
your calorie intake.

If you try and lose fat too fast, it won't
be permanent and you'll end up gaining
the weight back.

So, the best way to lose fat is to focus
on slowly cutting your calorie intake while
slowly increasing your cardio input.

Notice I put "slowly" in front of both.

If you start reducing calories too fast,
you'll force your body into "starvation
mode" and you'll hold onto stored fat
instead of burning it for energy.

And if you start doing too much cardio,
you'll risk of overtraining or getting
injured.

The combo of slowly dropping your daily
calories while also increasing the
intensity of your cardio will get you
in a fat-burning stage.

Then, continue on with this approach
and soon you'll be staring in the mirror
at a leaner you.

So,

1. Mention one smaller problem

2. Give them the solution to that smaller problem. Make it step by step. do this, then do this, etc...

3. Tell them you can solve their bigger problem and give them the link to your sales page

4. in your P.S. mention BIG problem again and tell them to click on your link to get the solution.
