Reason 5: Giving Up Way To Easy

Tony Robbins has a great quote that I remember often: How long would it take to give up on your child learning how to walk? If they fell on their face once would you stop, or what about two times? The answer is of course you would never give up on teaching a child how to walk, ride a bike, etc.

You have to have that same determination when it comes to offline marketing. Send out a letter and get no response – not a problem. Go business...

Reason 3: No marketing system in place to get customers

Once you know who you want to go after you need to have a system to get new customers. Systems allow you to put your lead generation on auto pilot to ensure that you have new customers coming to you on a normal basis. Posted 6th March 2009 at 10:54 PM by TimCastleman

Studying several offline marketing businesses and people who were interested in offline marketing I've noticed these 5 reasons why offline marketers fail.

If you are just trying to sell to your customers you are missing out on a ton of money. At any given time there is:

- Less than 5% of the market that is in buying mode - meaning they are in the market for your product at this time. (buy no matter what)

- Another 5% that are open to the idea of your product (might buy)

- 30% not thinking about it but might be convinced...

What are you here to sell me?

Posted 5th March 2009 at 09:00 AM by TimCastleman

A guy walks into a local business. The owner is tired, has had it up to here with nasty customer, telemarketers, and uninvited salesmen.

"What are you here to sell me?" asks the business owner.

"I don't know yet" shoots back the salesman.

Stunned the business owner fumbles for a few words ... "what do you mean you don't know .. .what type of salesman are you?"

A good one, now tell me about your business, your problems...
