Internet marketing is probably the fastest changing area I've ever been involved with. An advertising platform I used to use transformed at least 3 times in 18 months and I now just use it name only. Facebook advertising seems to be changing even more often and Google are famous for changing the rules for paid and organic search at the drop of a hat.

So how can you cope?

Unless you pay for adverts - and even then you need time to test those adverts - internet marketing doesn't happen fast any more.

Long gone are the days of the Infoseek search engine when you could see the results of any changes you'd made in a web page within minutes.

Now, Google may well crawl your page quite fast - although even that depends on a lot of factors - but then the waiting game starts.

There are so many different parts involved in internet marketing that it's perfectly normal to be worried about at least some of them.

The usual fear is "have I done it right".

To which the answer is usually "maybe".
