Yeah that's a fair point I get that. Not popular at all in the UK, most people don't know what they are let alone have a QR scanner on their phone

URL's can do all those things you just listed and they can be read on a sign above a shop whereas a QR code has to be scanned close up.

Agreed but a business owner can put a website address in their window that the client can enter into their phone. They don't have to remember it just read it. Sorry but not everyone has a smart phone...

But you can do all those things with a URL? Yes I appreciate that you have to type the URL into a web browser but you have to have the QR reader on your phone to scan the code and if you don't...
